Our Journey Towards Space Exploration

2016

KP Labs was founded with a mission to bring innovation to space technology, focusing on advancing automated spacecraft operations and robotic systems.

2018

We entered the global space industry through our first collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA) on the HYPERNET project. This partnership marked the beginning of our work in Earth Observation and satellite system solutions.

2019

A key milestone was the successful qualification of our Leopard Data Processing Unit (DPU). This achievement laid the groundwork for our involvement in on-board data processing technology for space missions and demonstrated our growing capabilities in the sector.

2021

We initiated our first collaboration with NASA, joining the GLOWS project as part of the IMAP mission. This project expanded our global reach and allowed us to contribute to the study of space weather and its effects on Earth.

2022

KP Labs opened its new headquarters, complete with state-of-the-art laboratories. This facility supports our growing team and provides the resources needed to expand our research and development capabilities, enabling us to scale up our projects and innovations.

2023

We launched two exciting missions: Intuition-1 and the Antelope In-Orbit Demonstration. The Intuition-1 mission proved that our Leopard DPU could operate effectively in orbit, marking a big success for on-board data processing. The Antelope continued to push the boundaries in nanosatellite data processing and AI applications.

2024

Our technological advancements were confirmed with the successful operation of our Data Processing Units - Leopard and Antelope in space. The Intuition-1 mission continued to deliver valuable data, including detailed images from orbit, showcasing the power and reliability of our solutions in operational conditions.
